As part of the ongoing research, I am collecting personal stories about being weighed at birth.
A birth weight is often one of the first numbers attached to a human life. It enters official records, is remembered by families, and can become part of the story we tell about ourselves. But behind every number there may be a personal experience: a moment of joy, concern, confusion, pride, or uncertainty.
Through conversations and encounters, this archive explores the stories, memories, and meanings connected to the first measurement of our lives.
The archive is currently in development. The collected stories will gradually shape a growing body of research around measurement, identity, and the ways numbers influence how we understand ourselves and each other.
